Mark Hargett joined SFI in 2018. He came to SFI with tremendous experience, most recently risk consulting services with several different insurance groups over the past 15 years. Mark provided these services to manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, healthcare, municipalities, and food service clients. Overall, Mark has more than 30 years of experience in general industry and construction safety.
Mark began his safety professional career as a Washington State (WISHA) Compliance Officer in 1985. Later, he went on to provide risk management leadership for several large construction companies starting in 1991.
Mark was the Safety Manager/Director for several large construction projects in the Denver Metro area. Safety Manager for projects such as the E-470 Toll Road, the Pepsi Center, and Bronco Stadium. During the time that Mark was the Safety Director of construction activities at Bronco Stadium, the project operated under an aggressive and successful safety campaign, which saved the project millions of dollars in Work Comp claims.
Mark provides SFI clients assistance with employee safety, OSHA compliance, property protection, public liability and fleet safety. Mark has an Associates degree in Business and is a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He is also a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals.
Mark is an OSHA Outreach Authorized Instructor for OSHA 10 & 30 Hour certified training in the Construction Industry. He also is a PEC Authorized Instructor for Basic and Core training in the Oil & Gas industry – SafeLand / SafeGulf.
